On October 1, 2021, the HIGHVOLT Award for the best diploma thesis in the field of electrical engineering was awarded as part of the closing event for the SaxoGRID junior research project. The high-voltage hall of the TU Dresden provided a worthy setting for the award ceremony. For the first time, the award, endowed with € 1,000 was presented to the winners of the TU Dresden and the HS Zittau/Görlitz at a joint event. The award winners are Jan Lasse Gnärig from TU Dresden and Henry Hirte and Jun Ting Loh from Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz.
Mr. Steiner from HIGHVOLT recognized the achievements of the award winners. "With their outstanding, forward-looking work and the results, the young scientists are making a contribution to national and international standardization in the distribution network."
For many years now, HIGHVOLT has been promoting young talent in the field of electrical engineering, especially in high-voltage technology, in Saxony. In addition to awarding the HIGHVOLT Award, HIGHVOLT also offers interested students internships as well as thesis supervision.
